Spinomenal Launches Crown Strike: Classic Slot Featuring 1,000x Grand Jackpot

The online slot landscape is witnessing a return to classic simplicity with a modern twist. Spinomenal, a prominent provider of iGaming content, has announced the official release of Crown Strike - Hold & Hit 3x3. This new addition to their popular Hold & Hit series aims to evoke the nostalgia of traditional casino cabinets while utilizing contemporary jackpot engines. By focusing on a compact layout, the provider caters to both long-time enthusiasts of fruit machines and modern players seeking quick, high-volatility action.

The game's design is heavily influenced by the golden era of mechanical slots. Set against a backdrop of smooth jazz-funk music, the 3x3 grid features familiar fruit symbols and the iconic red 777 Wild. This Wild symbol is crucial as it substitutes for all regular icons except for the special diamonds. The gameplay experience is intentionally designed to be easy-going yet rewarding, balancing the simplicity of three reels with the excitement of modern bonus mechanics.

Numbers and facts

Crown Strike operates on a 3x3 grid with five fixed paylines. The core of the gameplay revolves around two types of diamond symbols. Blue Bonus diamonds appear exclusively on reels one and three, while the golden Bonus Collect diamond is found only on the central second reel. A key feature is the instant collection: if a Bonus Collect symbol lands adjacent to Bonus icons, it immediately gathers and pays out their combined values, providing wins even if the main bonus round is not triggered.

The title includes four fixed jackpots that scale with the player's total bet. The Mini Jackpot offers a 25x multiplier, followed by the Minor at 50x and the Major at 150x. The most sought-after prize is the Grand Jackpot, which awards 1,000x the total bet. To access these, players must enter the Hold & Hit Bonus Game by landing the full combination of symbols. This round starts with three respins, where only multiplier icons (ranging from 1x to 15x) and jackpot symbols can land. Every new symbol resets the respin counter to three.

Background

Spinomenal's strategy with Crown Strike involves combining a high-quality atmospheric design with high-stakes mechanics. Omer Henya, Co-CEO at Spinomenal, expressed his confidence in the new title's ability to attract diverse player segments. He emphasized the balance between the classic theme and the underlying math model:

"Crown Strike – Hold & Hit 3x3 combines classic fruit machine nostalgia with a jackpot engine worthy of royalty. A groovy soundtrack sets the pace, while the Bonus Collect mechanic keeps the value stacking as the reels keep turning." - Omer Henya, Co-CEO at Spinomenal

To further enhance the base game, Spinomenal included a random Bonus Blast Feature. This mechanic can trigger at any moment during regular spins, scattering extra bonus and collection symbols across the grid. This unpredictability adds a layer of excitement and serves as a primary tool for players to enter the lucrative bonus features more frequently.

Why it matters for German players

For players in Germany, the launch of Crown Strike is relevant under the framework of the State Treaty on Gambling 2021 (GlüStV 2021). As a 3x3 slot with clear mechanics, it fits well within the regulated market. However, German players must adhere to specific local restrictions. The maximum bet per spin is capped at 1.00 Euro, and each spin must last at least five seconds. This means the high-paced jazz-funk rhythm of the game might be experienced slightly differently in a GGL-licensed environment compared to unregulated markets.

Furthermore, the 1,000 Euro monthly deposit limit managed via the LUGAS system applies. While the 1,000x Grand Jackpot is a significant draw, the maximum possible win per spin from the jackpot in a German-licensed casino would effectively be 1,000 Euro plus any line wins. These measures are designed to ensure player protection and prevent excessive gambling habits while still allowing for the enjoyment of new releases like Crown Strike.

What it means for GGL-licensed casinos

Casinos licensed by the GGL (Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder) benefit from adding titles that are mobile-friendly and transparent. Crown Strike’s simple layout is perfectly optimized for small screens, a crucial factor since a large portion of German iGaming traffic is mobile. For operators, the fixed jackpot structure is preferable over complex progressive networks, as it offers clear payout parameters that align with regulatory transparency requirements. Choosing such titles allows GGL casinos to compete effectively with illegal offshore sites by offering high-quality, safe, and legally compliant entertainment.
