Games Global Debuts Inferno Fortunes with Enhanced Power Combo Mechanic

The online slot industry continues to evolve with the release of Inferno Fortunes Power Combo Extra, a collaborative effort between Games Global and ALL FOR ONE Studios. This new 5x3 slot title moves beyond standard gameplay by integrating an expanded version of the popular Power Combo mechanic. The game is designed to offer a multi-layered experience where different bonus features can trigger simultaneously, creating unique winning combinations on a modified 4x4 bonus grid.

The gameplay centers on three fireball scatters—blue, red, and green—each representing a specific power-up. When these scatters land, they can trigger individual bonuses or combine to activate multiple enhancers at once. This system allows for overlapping frames on the grid, significantly increasing the complexity and potential rewards of the bonus rounds compared to traditional single-feature slots.

Numbers and facts

The mathematical structure of Inferno Fortunes is built around these three core powers. Blue scatters activate the Booster Power, which can increase coin values by up to 2.5x. Red scatters introduce the Multiplier Power, applying multipliers of 2x, 3x, or 5x to the wins. Green scatters trigger the Coins Power, which adds extra coins to the reels. Each of these powers can be leveled up to level eight during the base game, providing a progression element for players.

The game features five distinct jackpots accessible via the Jackpot Wheel. The Mini jackpot offers a 10x payout, followed by the Minor (20x), Major (50x), Mega (250x), and the top-tier Grand jackpot at 5,000x the stake. To trigger the wheel, players must either fill all 16 positions on the bonus grid with coins or collect white gem tokens during the feature.

Background

The development focus for ALL FOR ONE Studios was to add depth to the existing Power Combo framework. Julia Saburova, Head of ALL FOR ONE Studios, commented on the new mechanics:

“Power Combo Extra builds on the original Power Combo concept in a major way, unlocking a whole new layer of Extras that trigger alongside the powers to enhance the bonus games. Multiple powers – and now Extras – can combine within the same bonus game, ramping up the excitement for players.”

Dave Reynolds, Director of Games Strategy and Partner Management at Games Global, noted that the combination of features like the random Cash Mode and the five jackpots offers significant variety for operator partners. The Cash Mode is a noteworthy addition as it can activate randomly in the base game, bringing all three powers into play for a single spin and guaranteeing a win.

Why it matters for German players

For players in Germany, the release of such titles is always governed by the Interstate Treaty on Gambling 2021 (GlüStV 2021). While the game offers advanced features like Bet Boosts and Bonus Buys, these are generally disabled in the German market to comply with GGL regulations. German players are subject to a maximum stake of 1 Euro per spin and a mandatory 5-second delay between rounds.

Furthermore, all activity is monitored by the LUGAS system, enforcing a cross-operator monthly deposit limit of 1,000 Euros. Even though Inferno Fortunes features high-volatility mechanics and jackpots, the German regulatory framework ensures that player protection remains a priority through the exclusion of autoplay and strict verification processes.

What it means for GGL-licensed casinos

Operators holding a German GGL license must ensure that any new Games Global content is fully compliant with national IT requirements. This involves stripping features like the "Upsizer" or "Bonus Buy" which are prohibited under German law. However, the introduction of the Power Combo Extra mechanic provides a fresh attraction for licensed casinos, allowing them to offer innovative gameplay within a safe and regulated environment.
